Torah/Scripture Studies: Audio, Streaming Audio and Text (PDF) Lessons

Torah Studies Set-up

Step One: Choose Streaming | Audio Download or Text

Streaming uses RealAudio format. It allows you to hear the audio lesson on-the-fly, without waiting for a file to down-load. Since no file is downloaded, the lesson cannot be saved on your computer.

Audio Download sends you an MP3 audio file. You must wait until the entire file is downloaded to your computer. Then you may store the file, and play it, at your convenience, using any standard compatible player software that exists on your computer.

Text sends you a text file of the lesson (a PDF file) instead of audio. You may store this file, and then read it at your convenience, using Adobe Acrobat Reader.

Streaming allows almost instant listening. Audio Download can take from a few seconds if you have a Broadband Internet connection, to several minutes if you have dial-up, because it is a large file size.  Text takes only a few seconds with Broadband, and only 1 minute if you have dial-up, because it is a small file size.

Step Two: After choosing Streaming, Audio Download, or Text, select the lesson you would like to hear or read. NOTE: You can only choose, or download, one lesson at a time.

Step Three: After choosing the lesson, you may also choose an accompanying graphics presentation that often includes maps, charts, pictures, and outlines. Click on the appropriate "illustrations" listing to download the graphics presentation. It will come to you in a PDF file, and you may view it using Adobe Acrobat Reader. NOTE: Some Guest Teacher and Topics lessons do not have accompanying graphics presentations.
