Daniel
Daniel contains four visions that are predictive of future times. God’s people will find comfort in knowing that even if Jerusalem and its Temple are destroyed and God’s people are in exile, God remains supreme and in control. Taught by Tom Bradford.

Lesson 1 – Daniel Introduction
DANIEL Week 1, Introduction Out of the frying pan and into the fire we go, in ways you can hardly imagine just yet. I welcome you all to an exciting, hopefully eye-opening and inspirational study of the incomparable and controversial Book of Daniel. Most Believers have at one time or another studied passages taken from […]

Lesson 2 – Daniel Introduction Cont.
DANIEL Week 2, Intro part 2 As we continue in our extensive preparation to study the Book of Daniel, I would like to reiterate that the reason for so many commentaries written on Daniel that vary wildly in their interpretations and their conclusions is because of the commentator’s fundamental theology. And the pre-eminent theology of […]

Lesson 3 – Daniel 1
DANIEL Week 3, Chapter 1 The word most used in modern times to describe the Book of Daniel is probably “controversial”. But it has not always been so. We’ve spent two weeks preparing to study Daniel because we need to understand what the reasons are for the many interpretations of, and the virulent attacks against, […]

Lesson 4 – Daniel 1 Cont.
DANIEL Week 4, chapter 1 continued We found out last time that Daniel was deported to Babylon in 605 B.C., a consequence of the first attack ordered by Nebuchadnezzar against Jerusalem. This was in response to King Jehoiakim of Judah breaking his 3 year old agreement to be a tribute-paying vassal to Babylon. Jerusalem was […]
-
Lesson 5 – Daniel 2
DANIEL Week 5, chapter 2 We finished up Daniel chapter 1 last time. It gave us an historical overview of Daniel from the time that he and his 3 fellow exiles were first taken to Babylon. Then it tells us about an overt attempt by the Babylonian authorities to strip Daniel and company of their […]
-
Lesson 6 – Daniel 2 Cont.
DANIEL Week 6, chapter 2 continued We left off in Daniel chapter 2 as Babylon’s King Nebuchadnezzar had a series of disturbing dreams. Be aware that we’re not going to come close to finishing chapter 2 in this lesson; there is so much more here than meets the eye. The king called his flock of […]
-
Lesson 7 – Daniel 2 Cont. 2
DANIEL Week 7, chapter 2 continued (2) We’re still in Daniel chapter 2, and we will today look at Daniel’s interpretation of King Nebuchadnezzar’s dream. To review briefly: Daniel has told Nebuchadnezzar the dream that the King had dreamt but has yet to tell him what it means except in the broadest sense. The King […]
-
Lesson 8 – Daniel 2 & 3
DANIEL Week 8, chapters 2 and 3 We will finish up Daniel chapter 2 and get started on chapter 3 today. We’re still examining King Nebuchadnezzar’s dream-statue that consists of 4 parts, each a different metal representing a series of empires. Although the bible will more often than not refer to these empires as kingdoms, […]

Lesson 9 – Daniel 3
DANIEL Week 9, chapter 3 Open your bibles to Daniel chapter 3. We’ll re-read this chapter in sections. I’ll advise you ahead of time that while the last several lessons have been mostly technical and historical; today’s is going to hit home and become personal. RE-READ DANIEL 3: 1 – 7 King Nebuchadnezzar demanded that […]
-
Lesson 10 – Daniel 3 Cont.
DANIEL Week 10, chapter 3 continued As we continue in Daniel chapter 3, we’ll conclude today the famous story of Shadrakh, Meshakh, and Abednego being thrown into the blazing hot furnace for the sake of their faith. And, I think we are all going to feel the heat of that fire (in one way or […]
-
Lesson 11- Daniel 4
DANIEL Week 11, chapter 4 When we concluded Daniel chapter 3, it was with a proclamation made by King Nebuchadnezzar addressed to (as he modestly puts it) everyone in all the earth. This proclamation essentially ordered all of his subjects (who he reckoned was every last soul on the planet) to show respect for the […]
-
Lesson 12 – Daniel 4 Cont.
DANIEL Week 12, chapter 4 continued We’ve been exploring King Nebuchadnezzar’s tree-dream in Daniel chapter 4 and will continue it today. Chapter 4 is rather unique as the entire chapter is narrated by Nebuchadnezzar himself. So we have an entire chapter of the bible that is the words of a non- believer. At the same […]
-
Lesson 13 – Daniel 4 & 5
DANIEL Week 13, Chapters 4 and 5 We are going to get historical and detailed, and you’re going to hear a lot of new names for the first time today; so have your pens and pencils handy. As we ended our study of Daniel chapter 4 last time, the promised divine punishment had come upon […]
-
Lesson 14 – Daniel 5
DANIEL Week 14, Chapter 5 We spent almost our entire time together last week dealing with only a couple of issues. First, the transition from Daniel chapter 4 and the long 43-year reign of King Nebuchadnezzar, to chapter 5 and the final days of the Babylonian Empire under another Babylonian King. But, the second matter […]
-
Lesson 15 – Daniel 5 & 6
DANIEL Week 15, chapters 5 and 6 We’ll bring Daniel chapter 5 to a close and move into chapter 6 today. We’ve covered up to verse 24; and what we’ve learned is that somewhat recent archeological finds have cleared up some issues regarding the King of Babylon who is the main character of this chapter. […]
-
Lesson 16 – Daniel 6
DANIEL Week 16, chapter 6 Daniel chapter 6 continues that part of the book that was written in Aramaic. So we find that the focus is on the gentile captors of Judah. And those captors have now transitioned from the Babylonians to the Median-Persian coalition; from the head of gold to the chest and arms […]

Lesson 17 – Daniel 6 & 7
DANIEL Week 17, chapters 6 and 7 Last week we dealt with the famous biblical story of Daniel in the lion’s den. This narrative, found in Daniel chapter 6, has been a favorite among children and adults for centuries. On the surface it is a story of bravery and courage in the face of death, […]

Lesson 18 – Daniel 7
DANIEL Week 18, chapter 7 Today and next week in our continuing study of Daniel chapter 7 we are going to go where angels fear to tread, and we’ll probably stick a fork in a few sacred cows. We’re also going to take a detour that I think will add some understanding to the life […]
-
Lesson 19 – Daniel 7 Cont.
DANIEL Week 19, chapter 7 continued Today will be one of those lessons that will require all of your focus and attention. It will be one of the more challenging that you will ever hear from me, but it will also be rewarding if you’ll work at it. I’ll begin with quoting a person whose […]

Lesson 20 – Daniel 7 Cont. 2
DANIEL Week 20, chapter 7 continued (2) From my perspective we can only have a credible study of the Book of Daniel by focusing carefully on the “Son of Man” statement in Daniel 7:13. However, as we discussed last week, the preference among modern bible commentators is not to spend much time on that subject […]
-
Lesson 21 – Daniel 7 Concl.
DANIEL Week 21, chapter 7 conclusion The Son of Man. Who would have thought that such an innocuous phrase, one that most Christians and Messianics have heard countless times, could have so much impact on our faith and understanding of God’s Word. This will be our 3 rd week that we’ve been in Daniel chapter […]
-
Lesson 22 – Daniel 8
Daniel Week 22, chapter 8 Daniel chapter 8 is a first-class maze and expert-level puzzle all rolled into one. But if you want to understand history not just of the End Times but also world history from the time of Nebuchadnezzar onward, than deciphering Daniel is the key. And this is because while the secular […]
-
Lesson 23 – Daniel 8 Cont.
DANIEL Week 23, chapter 8 continued Last week we started our examination of one of the more difficult chapters in Daniel if not the entire bible: Daniel Chapter 8. And we won’t nearly get finished with it this week. And perhaps this is a good time to explain something that you’ve no doubt already noticed: […]
-
Lesson 24 – Daniel 8 & 9
DANIEL Week 24, chapters 8 and 9 We’ll conclude Daniel 8 today and get started on chapter 9. Chapter 8 is acknowledged among bible scholars as one of the most difficult in the bible. However don’t think that chapter 9 is a piece of cake. Chapter 9 introduces a new element to End Times prophecy, […]
-
Lesson 25 – Daniel 9
DANIEL Week 25, chapter 9 We only just began to study Daniel chapter 9 last week. And after reading it all we immediately noticed two things: the first part of the chapter is a beautiful, sincere and passionate plea by Daniel to the Lord to accept his confession and repentance on behalf of his fellow […]
-
Lesson 26 – Daniel 9 Cont.
DANIEL Week 26, chapter 9 continued If there is such a thing as a spiritual Rubik’s Cube, it has to be the prophecy of the 70 weeks as contained in the final verses of Daniel chapter 9. The verses are difficult, the great Hebrew sages have never come to a consensus on their meaning, and […]
-
Lesson 27 – Daniel 9 Cont. 2
DANIEL Week 27, chapter 9 continued 2 We’ll not quite finish Daniel 9 today, but we’ll get close. Because Daniel 9 verses 24 through 27 are so difficult and controversial yet crucial we’re going to spend more time with it today, and begin with a brief review of what we studied last week. These verses […]
-
Lesson 28 – Daniel 9 Concl.
DANIEL Week 28, Chapter 9 conclusion Today we finally find a way to conclude what is the molten core of modern day End Times prophecies: Daniel chapter 9 and the prophecy of the 70 weeks. We’ll get a bit technical and historical today so that we can understand why Daniel 9 and the 70 weeks […]
-
Lesson 29 – Daniel 10
DANIEL Week 29, chapter 10 Today we begin what is the last segment of the Book of Daniel. Chapters 10 through 12 probably would have been better presented if they were one long chapter in our Bibles (as it was in the original) and not divided into the 3 as we find them today, because […]
-
Lesson 30 – Daniel 10 & 11
DANIEL Week 30, chapters 10 and 11 In some ways, everything we’ve studied in Daniel chapters 1 through 9 was a preparation for what we’re studying in chapters 10 through 12. The beginning of the book tells of Judah’s exile to Babylon at God’s hand, due to their rebelliousness and idolatry, which when taken together […]
-
Lesson 31 – Daniel 11
DANIEL Week 31, Chapter 11 We managed to get only as far as the first 4 verses of Daniel 11 last week. Recall that what we are reading is an oracle delivered to Daniel by an unnamed angel or spiritual being. This is NOT Daniel pronouncing this prophecy; he is only relaying to us what […]
-
Lesson 32 – Daniel 11 Cont.
DANIEL Week 32, Chapter 11 continued We spent much time following a historical trail of kings and nations last week because it is important to see how the first part of the prophecy of Daniel 11 actually played out. It essentially took us from the end of the Media-Persian Empire, to the new Greek Empire […]
-
Lesson 33 – Daniel 11 & 12
DANIEL Week 33, Chapters 11 and 12 If it can be fairly said that for the last few months our study of Daniel has been like trying to drink from a fire hose, then the concluding verses of this book are like standing under Niagara Falls. I’d like you to keep your Bibles handy; we’re […]
